Key Account Manager (m/w/d)
Yacht & Naval Accounts
Lethe GmbH delivers specialist solutions for the maritime sector – from interior outfitting to insulation and fire protection. We support yacht builders and naval clients on projects where reliability, tight documentation, and delivery on time aren’t “nice to have” – they’re non-negotiable. This role is based at our Ridderkerk site, right in the heart of the Rotterdam–Amsterdam maritime corridor. You’ll be close to customers, close to the project teams, and close to the decisions that keep work moving.

This is what awaits you
This isn’t a “hands-off” key account job. You own the commercial side end-to-end: spotting opportunities early, shaping offers, negotiating terms, closing contracts – and staying engaged through delivery to make sure commitments are met. You’ll work side-by-side with project and operational teams, align priorities across the wider group, and step in when things get tense – helping to de-escalate issues fast and keep projects on track.
Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts in the yacht and naval space
Drive sales activities end-to-end: lead generation, opportunity qualification, forecasting, follow-up and negotiations
Coordinate across internal teams and all LETHE group entities to deliver customer requests and projects smoothly
Stay close to live projects commercially – align requirements, planning, priorities and expectations with stakeholders
Troubleshoot and lead escalations in delivery or supply: diagnose issues, align actions, and drive resolution
Own the contract lifecycle: support drafting/reviews, track obligations, and ensure local contractual requirements are met
Keep stakeholders and management aligned with clear documentation on customers, contracts and open points
Support group-wide topics where they impact your accounts, projects or contractual commitments
Act as the local Security Officer for defence contracts (ADNO), including coordination and documentation duties
Perks & Benefits
A permanent contract
Paid overtime (as per policy)
30 days’ annual leave
Holiday allowance and year-end bonus
Plenty of room for initiative, ownership and smart organisation
A modern workplace in Ridderkerk with a down-to-earth, motivated team
A challenging role with real autonomy and variety
Flat structure and short lines – decisions are made quickly
The freedom to shape your leadership and coordination approach within the role

5+ years’ experience in the Dutch shipbuilding industry

Strong track record in B2B account management in a maritime environment
Comfortable negotiating and staying calm when projects get pressured – including handling disruptions and escalations
Hands-on experience with contracts and commercial agreements (set-up, review, follow-up)
Dutch citizenship (mandatory)
Defence experience and/or familiarity with ADNO requirements is a strong plus
